Hi, and thanks for stopping by.
I started this site to share what I’ve learned—and what I’m still figuring out—as I practice bonsai. Over the years, it’s become something steady and meaningful in my life, and I thought it might be worth documenting the process a bit. Not as an expert, but just as someone quietly learning and growing alongside their trees.
I travel to Japan each year and always come back inspired by the craft, the tradition, and the patience it requires. Back home, my balcony is packed with trees in various stages of development. I care for them daily, and occasionally sell a few through the San Diego Bonsai Club’s biannual show—one of which is coming up soon.
Here, you’ll find thoughts, reflections, photos, and (eventually) tools and pots that I’ve found useful. I don’t have a content calendar or fixed posting schedule—just the intent to keep things honest, practical, and maybe even helpful for someone else walking a similar path.
Feel free to browse around, check back from time to time, or subscribe here if you’d like to follow along.
Thanks again for visiting.
